In 1954, Bill and Lily McEvoy left Ireland for a new life in Long Island. (Click here to learn more about Bill’s life and work.) Not long after arriving in NY, Bill picked up the drywall trade. His sign is still seen today on Hawkins Avenue in Lake Grove.
His son, Kieran, one of nine McEvoy children, later started his own branch, expanding the business into what it is today.
